The ceremony site is a short walk from the reception which will be hosted in the castle barns so choose your dancing shoes carefully.

We're hoping to have the ceremony outside but if the weather is against us the plan with change and parts of the wedding will likely be held in the castle. The castle has a strict no stiletto policy and let's be honest they're probably not a very good idea on grass either.

Depending on the restrictions that are in place in Scotland in September, masks and social distancing may be required. However, even within the current restrictions, Wedderburn is able to host both the ceremony and the reception, and it seems likely that restrictions will be lessened in early August.

The most likely change to our plans that could occur is that any restrictions could make a ceilidh unfeasible. If this happens, we'll think up something almost as fun, but more socially distanced.

The information here is likely to change, especially in mid August when the Scottish government next decides whether or not to remove further restrictions. We will update this page when we learn more and will email everyone closer to the big day with up to date information.
